Choosing Training vs Match Balls

When outfitting a team, it is important to balance performance requirements with your budget:

• Training Balls: Designed to withstand repeated use while retaining pressure and shape over time. Because teams typically require 10–15 balls for drills, these offer a cost-effective, high-quality solution built to last one or two seasons. Training balls are typically inflated to approximately 8 psi.
• Match Balls: Engineered specifically for match day performance. Since a team only requires one or two match balls per season, it is worth investing in a premium ball. Quality match balls generally require higher inflation (between 9–12 psi) and naturally lose pressure faster than training variations due to their high-performance bladder construction.

Always check the recommended inflation pressure marked near the valve on your specific ball before inflating, as requirements vary.
